Concrete & Slab Removal

Breaking concrete is easy. Getting several tons of it off your property is the part people underestimate.

Concrete is heavy, awkward and expensive to dispose of, which is why so many homeowners start breaking a patio themselves and stop halfway. A cubic yard weighs over two tons.

We break out driveways, patios, sidewalks, shed and pool slabs, footings and steps across metro Atlanta, load the material out in our own truck, and grade the ground so it is ready for whatever comes next.

Do you need this?

If any of these sound like your property, this is the service:

  • An old driveway, patio or walkway is cracked, heaved or sinking
  • A slab is in the way of something you want to build
  • Tree roots have lifted and broken a path or drive
  • A shed or pool slab needs to go with the structure

How the job runs

  1. 1

    Check what is underneath

Slabs often hide utilities, irrigation and conduit. Georgia 811 is called and we probe before breaking rather than after.

  2. 2

    Break it out

Broken into manageable sections with a breaker attachment, working away from anything staying in place.

  3. 3

    Load and haul

Loaded directly into the truck. Clean concrete goes for recycling where a facility will take it, which is cheaper than landfill.

  4. 4

    Grade and finish

Sub-base levelled and compacted ready for new concrete, gravel or topsoil and seed.

What affects your price

Driven by square footage, thickness, whether it is reinforced with rebar or mesh, how many truck loads it makes and machine access. Reinforced concrete takes noticeably longer than plain. Disposal is included in our price.

We quote after seeing the site, and the price we give you is fixed and in writing. Estimates are free and there is no obligation.

Why it's different in Georgia

Georgia clay moves seasonally, which is a common cause of cracked and heaved slabs here. If a replacement is going in, addressing the base and drainage matters as much as the concrete — otherwise the new slab cracks the same way the old one did.

FAQ

Concrete Removal — your questions

Do you take the concrete away?

Yes, and it is in the price. Clean concrete is recycled where possible, which keeps disposal cost down.

Can you remove just part of a driveway?

Yes. We saw-cut a clean line and remove only the section you want gone, leaving a tidy edge to tie new work into.

What about rebar?

Reinforced concrete is slower to break and separate but entirely routine. The steel is separated and recycled.

Can you pour the new concrete?

Concrete finishing is a specialist trade and we bring in a trusted concrete partner rather than pretending otherwise. We do all the removal, base and grading.
