Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes are free, on site, and come with no obligation and no follow-up sales calls.
How do I get a price?
Call, or send photos through the quote form. A lot of jobs can be priced from good photos without a visit, which saves everyone time.
Why is there no email address on this site?
Deliberate. Ground work is visual and specific, and a five-minute call gets further than three days of emails. Use the quote form if you would rather write and we will call you back.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes, though there is a minimum charge to cover loading and transporting the machine. If you have several small jobs, doing them in one visit is much better value.
Are you insured?
Yes, and we can provide certificates for contractors and property managers who need to name us on a project.
Cost and payment
How do you price a job?
On what the site actually demands, not a rate card. We come out, look properly, and give you a fixed price in writing before anything starts. The number you agree is the number you pay.
Is the quote fixed or hourly?
Defined jobs are quoted at a fixed price. Open-ended work such as general machine time is hourly, and the rate is agreed in writing before we start.
What affects the price most?
Access, the volume of material involved, ground conditions, and whether anything has to be hauled in or out. A back garden reachable only through a narrow gate costs more than an open driveway, and hauling is usually the single biggest variable.
Are there hidden extras?
No. Disposal, haulage and clean-up are inside the quoted price, not added afterwards. If something genuinely unforeseen turns up underground, we stop and talk to you before spending your money.
The work itself
Do you call Georgia 811 before digging?
Always, on every job, at least 48 hours ahead. Georgia law requires it, fines start at $1,000, and hitting a gas line is far worse than a fine.
Will the machine damage my lawn?
A compact track loader spreads its weight far better than a wheeled machine and does considerably less damage. Some marking is unavoidable on soft ground — we tell you honestly what to expect and can repair and seed as part of the job.
Do you handle permits?
Yes where a job needs one — demolition permits, right-of-way permits and land disturbance permits over an acre. We check rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes, and it is included rather than extra. Debris leaves in our truck, the ground is graded, and seeded on request.
How far do you travel?
All of metro Atlanta and roughly two hours in any direction. Further for larger jobs — pool removal, acreage clearing and multi-day sitework are worth the drive.
Georgia ground
Why is drainage such a problem in Atlanta?
Metro Atlanta gets over 50 inches of rain a year, more than Seattle, and most of it lands on red clay — among the worst-draining soil in the country. Water that would soak away elsewhere sits on the surface here.
How much fall do I need away from my house?
About six inches of drop over the first ten feet from the foundation. Less than that and water can stand against the house.
Why do French drains fail here?
Nearly always one of three things: no filter fabric so clay silts up the stone, not enough fall so water sits in the pipe, or a discharge point set too high. All three are avoidable at installation.
